XL650 Indexing Ring Installation?

I broke the indexing ring on my xl650.
Dillon sent me a new one!

Now I'm looking for instructions to re&re it. Not as simple as I thought though...

There's a long spring there that I can see where the one end attaches too, and not sure which way a little hammer shaped piece fits into the index ring.

Any help would be great!

Look at p52 of the owners manual.

The spring attaches to the ring post and a stud at the rear of the platform.

The T has the ramp coming from the right.

That is a good idea, was planning on doing a bunch over xmas holidays, but the rig was down.

No need to stop loading with broken ring, just index by manually, the same as would be done with a 550 until new part arrives.
