Can an Ithica XL900 fire Black Cloud FS shot with any complications? Full choke. Thanks everybody!

If it were my gun, I wouldn`t. However you will have lot`s of folks telling you to go ahead. of course it isn`t their gun that may get damaged.

I don't know to much about chokes and steel/tungsten shot. What is it that I got to do? I bought some black cloud shot.

I had mine (XL 900) opened up to a hair bigger then modified and it patterns Black Cloud nicely. Even if your gun can handle steel with that full choke it will not pattern well. Choking steel shot causes the pellets to bounce as they will not compress. The most common result is a hole in the middle of the pattern.

The shotguns I have with choke tubes all pattern BC best with the IMP choke installed.
