Like putting lipstick on a pig. A different bolt handle would definitely help.

Lol! She ain't pretty! 7 oz lighter than the Evolution chasis, limited inletting right now as well. Bit spendy too! Gonna kick the sh!t out of a grand!

Big question. Is it worth it? I know that is a subjective term, most people would say $2000 is a lot to pay for a scope., when you can get a complete rig for half that. Me thinks if I had a bunch of disposable coin, maybe...

It's drawing some comments in the "Hide" Lots of likes and tags. Can this compete with other high end aftermarket stocks?

I have a evolution stock that I quite like. Very comfortable with good ergomics for me.

Both the evo and carbon are somewhat lighter than an AICS 2.0 at 6 pounds.

I'm on the fence over it. I don't see that the 7 oz is that significant. I love my Evolution but I'm not sure I'd pay the extra amount just for 7 oz.

I'm waffling between this, a McCrees, or a lightweight Manners. Decisions, Decisions.

Agreed. I would not upgrade to the carbon from my standard evo. 7 ounces isn't enough more than 1lb and ok interested.

I thought I wanted an aics until I read the are 6+ pounds.

Can we get mcrees up here?

I have the Evoultion as well. Liky you guys said, is 6-7 oz's enough to warrent the upgrade. Having an XLR, I'm very pleased with it. If I didn't have one, I might decide to go the carbon route. Lasest and greatest school of thought. The carbon does look ###y in a dirty girl kinda way. Might not bring it home to meet mom, but sure as hell be fun to play with!

I will be getting the carbon one for a 308 build. I have the regular XLR folder for my 223

Just like the look of the carbonfiber and the weight savings is a bonus:D

It would be cool to build a rifle with the carbon stock and a carbon wrapped barrel to finish it off! Maybe in a lighter calibre like a .243 AI or 6 SLR

Now that would be a wicked look with the carbon wrapped barrel!:D Even a 260 would be sweet in a short action.

Bear_Blade- Thanks, its a Savage with all the extras.
