Xlr chassis

The chassis and all is not that heavy really,only 4lbs 1 oz, when you consider the barrel is really heavy. Total unloaded weight is 16.2 lbs for mine!

... what recoil?
 
I bought a chassis from them and recieved the majority of it at the beginning of Nov. The action screws and pistol grip were missing in the box. Called right away and Kyle apologized and said he would ship ASAP. Didnt see anything at the end of the Nov and so left several more messages. Called again today... his mailbox is full. hmmmm. Hope everything is OK and hope I can complete my chassis 300 win mag project. Probably just buy an AR grip now locally and slam it togther with some screws if I can find some to fit.
any suggestions on grips or screws?
 
I wated 6 monthes to get my XLR stock for a 308. I orderd a XLR for a 50BMG over 4 monthes ago.

he called me back on friday saying he would get my grip and screws out asap. I will post when it comes in. Kyle said he was moving shops and tied up.
 
Could be. I'v left voice mail and e-mail two weeks ago and still no reply. So i guess we will see if it ever showes up.

Same thing happened to me. I picked up two action screws from Brafasco, cap head allen screws, no problem. Kyle at XLR gave me the thread specs. I'm going from memory but I believe they were 1/4 x28tpi x 2" and the short screw is same but only 1/2 inch. I wouldn't worry, I think they are a small shop doing many tasks, so sometimes the response was a bit slow. they sent me the missing bits asap btw.

I'm in the process of moding a Magpul MIAD grip to replace the oversized/over moulded grip the chassis came with.
