Xmas Comes Early...Primo AR Parts W/ Pics!!!!

Hey SKB, your ARs aren't complete without tritium / fiber optics front sights

Seriously:
1) where did you get the LaRue rail (can send me a PM for that)
2) how do you get the Krylon paint to stick permanently to rails covers ?
I've painted some Falcon Indus. rail covers (they're made of a soft flexible plastic) but the paint flaked off very quickly.

"LIVE FREE OR DIE"...? :? How'd that get there?

VERY cool rifle, SB... 8)

Is the krink FH just a solid cone? Are there any interior mechanisms? Just trying to wrap my head around how it works other than the obvious forward direction of gases... What is the purpose of the outer part, with the knurling?

Sorry for all the questions... Just got my own machining equipment and the possibilties for projects are endless... If it is a simple cone it would be a breeze to fabricate and I would appreciate the perceived lower muzzle blast to the shooter on my AR's as well...

I got the Larue rail from the same source that got me the Krink.

The KAC rail covers are hard plastic. I used fiberglass/plastic primer then a combination of Krylon & model paint.

The covers you have need a special paint that will flex, or there is an additive that is used for painting the plasitc parts on cars.

Krylon makes a paint called "Fusion" for plastics. The color choice is limited for military colors though.

SKBY.
