Does anybody know where I can get a XS front sight for my Win mod 94 in 356? It has no ramp. I need a wide style. I called XS in the states and they won't ship to Canada. I want to use with a Williams rear peap. Marbles nolonger makes theit sourdough style either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

TSE sells the xs product and you can get a Lyman at wholesale sports or Western Gun Parts, i believe Western Gun Parts also carry the Wiliams as well

I bought mine for my Win 94 at the Shootingedge. Very nice people and a fair price. They are in Alberta and shipped to me in Laval, Quebec.

I generally like the result, but you will need a low power pistol scope and the field of view is limited compared to a regular over the action mounted scopes. I have a top eject .30-30 and this was the only way to go unless you put a side mounted scope (I find side mounted scopes ugly).

Things to consider:

The rear objective sits over the action so high scope mounts are required.
(you need to keep your head and neck straight and far back to get cheek support and still see into the scope).

Field of view is very limited with a front mounting system, so 1X magification is best.

Red dot sights or expensive pistol scopes are your only option.

I would not have chosen this option if I would have had an angle eject model.

Q: I don't understand why your .356 can't use regular mounts?(no ramp? uh? What do you mean?) Is it not an angle eject model?

Woodsman. I use a Williams FP receiver sight. I want to change my front sight. Most win mod 94 rifiles have a ramp on the end of the barrel for the front sight. Mine is in a dovetail right in the barrel so I need a higher front sight. Yhe one on it noe is just a black post, I would like a higher vis front like the XS or the Marbles sourdough but Marbles stopped making them.

I called The Shooting Edge over 4 months ago for a set for my Glock and have yet to hear back from them. I asked them when they would be in, they said "No idea, you are just going to have to wait for us to call."

FAIL.

I got mine shipped to PA and picked them up there while on course.

They are THE BEST sights I have ever used.

XS sights have periodic problems shipping stuff in a timely manner. We take orders, but not deposits and tell folks up front that it can take time.
You are not obligated to take the items you ordered, but it would have been a nice courtesy to have canceled your order with us.

Isn't that illegal if they are over 100 and you didn't have an export permit?

It seems to me that XS sights are available from Brownells, but as a Canadian alternative give Dave Jennings a call in Pritchard BC. (250-577-3244) He made a very nice custom front sight for my .375, and I am sure he could do the same for your rifle.
