So I have been playing around with my Henry 45 colt.
Working on a load for spring bear hunting.
I have been playing with 250g XTP bullets.
Found a sweet spot right around 1600fps
Which is the top spot me of what that bullet is designed to take in regards to impact.
So I am a little concerned about that on a shoulder shot.
Im sure at 1200-1400fps the bullet will perform well but accuracy was lacking.
Thinking maybe the 240g XTP mag might be a good option.
Or maybe the 300g regular XTP going a bit slower?
Anyone have experience on game with a Xtp and if so at what velocity?
