Xtrema and Xtrema2??

What are the differences between the Xtrema and Xtrema2??

From what I can see from Beretta’s web site it seems that there are few differences between the two other than the Xtrema2 has these extra features.

• has slightly different plastic gel inserts on the stock and forestock
• Aqua Tek Protection coating
• Adjustable Length of Pull
• Has front and rear sling swivels
• Kick Off Recoil Absorber (Optional)

I’m not 100% sure on the front and rear sling swivels as only being available on the Xtrema2 as the Beretta web site shows a Xtrema with a sling, but from every other Xtrema I have seen doesn't have the sling. Maybe it was just a promotional dress up by Beretta??

Now this is comparing factory stock guns, I don’t want to get into any after market options or accessories.

Now is there anything else that is different between the two or is that it.

I have an extrema 1 and have handled both guns. The ex1 has a small dimple on the stock where you drill and install your own rear swivel stud. It has a front swivel that goes on under the mag cap. The ex1 has an overall different feel as well in that it has a longer length of pull and thicker grip area. The kick off option on the ex2 looks like it has a length of pull adjustment but it doesnt.
The two guns do feel really different when you shoulder them FYI
