Hey, quick question.
I am needing to replace the front sight on my Norinco CQ-A. I have been looking at flip up front sights and have taken a liking to one of the Yankee Hill ones. Here is my question:
The Yankee Hill sight doesn't use the taper pins that the factory front sight uses. It mounts on using 4 screws and bolts, two on each side. Is is going to work using this sight? I haven't taken off the front sight yet, so I am not sure what's underneath it. It might sound stupid, but are there holes in the barrel where the taper pins were? Or do they just go through the sight?
I am hoping that this will be a simple enough fix. Knock out the taper pins and rest of the front sight, and throw on this bolt on Yankee Hill flip up.
Here is a link to the Yankee Hill sight:

Any help would be awesome.
Thanks.
