Yaqui slide holster

Looking at buying a Galco Yaqui slide holster for my 1911. I would like to hear from anyone that has experience with this holster before I purchase one.
I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.

Minimalist design, works as intended, not designed for track and field with a handgun. I like them. - dan

I have never used the belt slide style...two things would concern me:

1) might limit your front sight options - you need a no-snag FS if the sight is past the bottom of the holster

2) I would guess that cheaper ones would have issues on the reholster...probably weaker leather and the design is not particularly resistant to collapsing

The nice thing with a Yaqui style holster is it will work with many guns....good for range days when you are shooting a few different pistols.

Yup, no issues unless you have a really high front sight/fiberoptic front sights. Only time I've ever had any problems with this style holster.
