Year of manufacturer S&W 28-2

Just bought my first handgun - quickly inspired by dumb comments someone said on December 8th!

I was wondering if anyone knows the approximate date of manufacture for it? It is a Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 "Highway Patrolman" with a 6" barrel. The serial number is apparently only a few digits: N65x

Any help would be appreciated. :D
 
I can narrow it down a bit more, according to my Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson book the model 28-2 with the N prefix on the serial number like yours was started in 1969.
 
So it was built in 1969 or later.... Thanks for the help! I was curious if it was built in the late sixties, seventies, or maybe even the early eighties. Every bit of info helps!

Thanks Camp Cook! They emailed back today and say it was manufacturered in 1980. Funny, with such a small serial number I would have thought it was older.
