How is the fit on the stock of the A7? I handled one today at WSS and it seemed very easy to flex the stock, and I wasn't a fan of the plastic mag or bolt shroud, but the action was very positive and solid and the rifle was incredibly trim and fast handling. They seem to be wicked accurate, too, and it was a .300 WSM, which would not be an unwelcome addition to the safe.
H&H...Hmmm..I guess Sako didn't get the word about the new "King" eh?...
Actually that Kodiak would be neat in the Ruger line of cartridges along with the .338 Fed. ,35 Whelen and 9.3X62...I am not a laminated stock fan because of their weight...Still that Kodiak is a fine, handy looking rifle...
The Kodiak looks like a fine rifle..It's clearly inspired by the Ruger Alaskan rifle.
But it still looks a little too much like a rifle a Eruo Dweeb would THINK an Alaskan would want.
We will see from sales patterns, but my prediction?

The king will rule on $$ alone...You can get the Alaskan, a VX3, and a couple boxes of TSX for less than the bare Kodiak...And these days the $$ rules...
That is a good point, but more important than that, the NEW KING was crowned on the intraweb, so has high KOOL factor...
And you can buy a Lada cheaper than a Toyota.....Yawn....
By the time you replace that POS stock with a McMillan and turn the Ruger into a decent rifle the deal wont look near as good....Especially come resale time.
If $$ rules these days why are we still buying so many rifles??? Heck Omega just bought 2!
