Remington Bucket O' Bullets
At
Canadian Tire $74.99
Lebarons $61.94

Print off eFlyer from Lebarons 2014 Spring Flyer showing Bucket O' Bullets at $61.94, take flyer to CTC with the ability to go to the web i.e. iPhone etc. to prove price is current as date does not print on the page. You have to prove the flyer is current and they don't have outside web access just CTC web site.
Get said bucket for $61.94 plus tax. Pay in cash and get $6.20 in CTC money. Net cost $63.79 OTD :dancingbanana:

Now this assumes your CTC has bullets. In this case the Kemptville CTC has a nice array of .22 ammo(NO Blaser) just Winchester and Remington, pistol, rifle, 6 crates of surplus 7.62x39 and 7.62x39 commercial/hunting ammo, MFS and 1 other brand I believe.

I know the Remington is a little dirty but it goes bang. It will do until Blaser becomes available.

I just bought a bucket from LeBarons and $61.94 is a "special" price, not a regular price. Does CTC match specials/sales or did the employee just not realize it was?

I showed them the flyer, it was B&W print but still, regular price, sale price, special price. I think unless it's a clearance/liquidation price they will match. Some stores, in general, will call to see if the store in question has stock. Buddy used to go with the Lebaron flyer every 2 weeks and get a few boxes of .303 because it was 19.99 in the flyer. CTC would match and give the CTC money as well.

Thing is, how many CTC's have ammo (in quantity)? Most stores in Ottawa have some of this and that but pathetic overall. Kemptville has say a 20' wide display counter 3' high full, plus the crates off to the side.

Can you share the link to the Lebarons 2014 Spring Flyer for the bucket of bullets? I found there catalog online but can't see a spring flyer anywhere?

SHhhhh!!

They price match any local store in lower mainland , very good customer service too, and lots of pistol calibers at the grandview store.

It works with tires too. Find your desired tires on pmctire.com (From Montreal, free shipping, great prices). Print off the page and bring it to Crappy tire. Don't forget to point out the free installation, and enjoy $100 in free CT money. It can actually work out to be below cost

I take great joy in costing Chinese Tire as much money as possible

Hi All,

Anyone had or tried to have their local CT order in ammo as advertised on their web page? I've tried asking them on web page 3 times and never got a reply. Certainly Crappy (tire) chitty customer service going that route.

So, the owner of your local CT franchise is of Chinese descent, and you take pride in making it difficult for him to do business? And people say there are no heroes left in this world.

I don't really have much negative to say about CT. My locals have all been pretty good to me, and the lifetime guarantee on their handtools can't be beat. I am hard on tools (not stupid, but I don't baby them) and a few times I've had side cutters that chip, etc, and never once have I been hassled on a replacement.

There is a small local independent hardware store not far from me, they are the worst people in the world with zero sense of customer service. It's like they are doing you a favour by taking your money.

CT might not be what it once was, but I'd like to see it stick around.
