yet another 10/22 thread

check the magazine tension to ensure its feeding reliably, stick to the stock magazine or butler creek steel lips mags, and shoot off a few hundred rounds of quality ammo to help break things in a bit.
I'm using two new ButlerCreek 25 rnd Steel Lip mags, after shooting a tiny squirt of G-96 on the "lips" of each mag it fed better...but I was still getting FTFires.
I guess I'm basing this rant on the fact that my Squires M20 performs flawlessly with the Cyclone ammo.
Last night I cleaned the firing pin channel and admitedly there was a tiny bit of dried yellowish crap in there. It took fine sandpaper with a spray cleaning compound to get rid of it. we'll see what happens this weekend.

Edit....Ok, its in the evening, and the gun is back together. $3 for a firing pin spring at Western Gun Parts. Bring on Saturday.
