Has anyone sampled the new P226 with a DAK trigger? I'm looking for a review, I am contemplating another Sig and like the idea removing the decocking variable, (not that it has been any kind of an issue to date) but hey less parts the better.
Had one in 40S&W...for the same reason...(no need to decock and every trigger pull is the same)... seemed a step up from the usually crappy DAO
mechanisms.
I traded it, more to do with not getting along with the platform in 40 than the
trigger, and am lining up to get one in 9MM, which is what I wanted in the first place.
My feeling is that to really get 'comfy' with the system, it would be advisable to shoot it exclusively for a while..establish the 'neuro-motor pathway...(no such thing as 'muscle memory) and see if it stands the test of time and experience.
I don't shoot or carry for a living, and so I think it will take longer to see if I prefer it to the myriad of other systems......
I have 12(6) status. I have found that some of the prohib stuff I want is still pretty high in value. There were a couple of Sig 225s in the exchange forum that were $1000 to $1200.....
Foxbat, I don't have any operational need for a pistol either, I do a lot of controlled or competitive shooting so I can invest the time and ammo in trying to learn the system, if anyone in the lowermainland has one and shoots at Poco or Abby I'd sure like to try one out, if not I'll buy one and see how I fare.
