That is cool that it is happening on the 14th....thanks for bringing this to Canada!

I do have a couple of questions though!

1) What range is being used for his event? Looks like the 85 metre is booked with a black powder shoot, so that leaves the 100m, 45m, or 300m.....just curiuos?

2) How did you manage to book a range with out having a BOD, or general meeting? It was my understanding that one needed 2 weeks....14 days in order to book a range! Maybe there was a meeting today or yesterday that I missed!

3) Why did the original thread get locked? And who locked it?

Bizarre that it was locked! No idea what happened there - paging Stormbringer ;)

We'll likely use the 45 as all of the classifiers are pretty close distances. We were going to go to North Bay that day but we'll have to pull out :(
I haven't officially cancelled yet though, just waiting to hear from Storm that the details are confirmed with 3GN for sure.

Not to worry.....i have a few PM's to different moderators as to who locked the thread........just a matter as to why?
It is a mystery as yet.....but I am sure there is a reason that will become clear soon enough!

And it sounds like you are part of the planning process.....with your reference to using the 45 metre range.....any idea when the BOD was asked for permission to use the range? I wasn't aware that a meeting took place yesterday or today asking for the use of the range.

Just so everyone is aware, and up to speed.....

I had asked for permission from the BOD at a meeting 2 weeks ago, to be able to use the 300 metre range for long distance practice for multigun use. That request was rejected by John (not the BOD).....he stated that the BOD needed 2 weeks notice to have exclusive use.....(i had only given/asked 1 week in advance)

Hence my questions and posts regarding this new event(I want the event to happen, I just don't want a 2 tiered system to be in place/exist at my beloved club)

a few points to clarify.

1) your request was not denied by "john'" it was denied by the BOD. No one individual has the power to deny a request
2) your request was not "1 week" in advance. It was 4 days.
3) your request did not require exclusive use so the request was really moot.
