Hey all.. Been doing some research online and I'm really liking the look of the CZ and Yildiz shotguns.. I own a couple of CZ rifles and love them all around... but i hear the CZ shotguns are made in Turkey and not in the CZ.. what are they like.. I did see a video on Tom Knapp shooting the CZ shotguns and recommending them..

I won't be doing a lot of shooting. maybe 200 per year after geese and sheet.. thats about it.... what all you fellow gunnutterz have to say?

I'm not 100% positive but I think Yildiz is the company that supplies the 712 & 912 to CZ. You have to remember that Tom was being paid big money to promote the gun...that doesn't automatically mean they were good! Most of these Turkish semi-autos, regardless of who makes them, are based on the older Beretta A300 series but with cheaper materials and many design changes to keep the price low. With that being said either of the 3 should suit your needs just fine.

Huglu is the company making the CZ shotguns AFAIK. From my limited experience, the Yildiz uses nicer wood on their shotguns, the CZs are probably a bit more robust. I've only fired a few hundred rounds out of my Yildiz O/U .410 but so far it has performed well.
