YoDave or PMTJ for CZ 452?

What is better? I like the thought of being able to use EXACTLY the right size shim with the PMTJ, but i want the light spring from the YoDave kit.

Does anyone know where to get springs that would be suitable other than YoDave? I tried a wtb in Rimfire parts but so far no bites.
 
I already had a bunch of different size springs that I bought at princess auto. I didn't have one that was just right so I ended up using 2 shorter ones. I put the nut on, then a spring, then that little washer and then the other spring. I have 3 cz's done this way and all three have a safe 1.5 lb pull with just a tiny bit of creep.
 
I just can't justify paying $24 for the kit, just for the springs. I know it comes with shims also, but I can make shims easy enough. I really just want a lighter spring.
 
I don't doubt he's a great guy. I tried putting an order through on eBay and although he says he ships free to Canada, eBay automatically charged me for shipping, and it came in over what I was willing to spend. Honestly I can appreciate that he has likely invested a great deal of time into the research and development of the kit, but for me I have to draw a line somewhere. Lineofsight, would you be able to contact him and see what's up with the free shipping? I'd be more than happy to pay the $18 he's asking for the kit. I just sent him an email via eBay asking to cancel the order through that route. Two things I just don't like dealing with are eBay, and (FRAUD ALERT). If there is another way I could do the deal I'm all in.
 
i have springs left over from my yo dave kit. you can have them. i even have shims too. ware in bc are you. i think i used the 3rd lightes spring.

Gee thanks, i hadnt noticed google...:rolleyes:

I contacted him, and he no longer offers free shipping in Canada because CP increased the shipping rates. It was not profitable for him without cherging for shipping. Based on what he told me i had a change of heart and decided that id rather just support him and buy it anyway, even though it's a bit more than id like to pay.
 
Contact yodave by PM right here on Gunnutz. Couldn't be a more helpful nutter. I'm sure he even accepts EMT if you don't like (FRAUD ALERT) !
