Well its been a bit since I posted my first ever Coyote. Since then I have been hunting a bit but have been unsuccessful at a follow up till yesterday. My hunting partners and I first tried up at friends property as he has been having trouble with them going after his dogs. After an hour and a half of calling no sign at all. Change of plan. Headed out to a remote logging cut block here in BC and found sign of all kinds of Coyotes about 2 km from a nearby ranch. We all setup an the calling began. After an hour and almost giving up I finally catch a glimpse of a yote at only 60-70 yards away. Came out of nowhere trying to pinpoint the Primos Dog Catcher call. I was hoping my hunting partners were going to see it first as they have yet to get anything, but they didn't see it at all so I took the shot.
I had my .308 with me as I was wanting to get one at distance or better yet a Wolf as they are in the area. Well I don't need to tell you what the dog looks like after it gets hit with a .308 at 60-70 yards
Anyway,
I was stoked to get it and my hunting buddies were too. What a great day in the BC back country.
