You and your businesses are traitors.

Below is the link. As noted above, this is bad.

Here is the cole's notes;

"Initial phase of firearms buyback program takes shape as Ottawa inks deal"

"The Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association (CSAAA), which represents the hunting and sport shooting industry in Canada, will work in collaboration with Public Safety Canada and retailers"

"The CSAAA will not be participating in anyway with the buyback of individually owned firearms."

This is how it starts...

He’s using the CSAAA since he’s president of it, and using the hundreds of thousands of dollars from shooters and hunters, to throw us under the bus and make sure he gets his payday.

Separating retailers and peons must make the liberals salivate… all the court cases are funded by businesses… they will probably just rescind their cases now, take the payout for their inventory and call it a day.

And I’m so no single hobbiest has the funds.

We amalgamated the funds to CSAAA to fight on our behalf and they Trojan horsed us.

Make sure to leave them a review on google to let them know how you really feel;

Wow - people are really buying the government spin hook, line & sinker.

This is the government finally admitting they have a huge tort liability to these retailers. It's clear they have no plan in place to even deal with this retailer inventory. The retailers have a duty to mitigate their losses or they lose the ability to get compensated for just that portion of their losses through lawsuits.

This is not losing. It may not be winning either but it is certainly weathering.

According to their Twitter:

"The CSAAA will only be collecting data on inventory levels and values of that inventory from dealers/distributors that wish to provide this information. If a dealer/distributor is not sure how to determine the value of their inventory we will assist with that as well.

@csaaaofficial
We are not collecting firearms from dealers, deactivating them or assisting in any other way. We are not aware were the number of 11,000 firearms came from as no data has been collection or provided to anyone at this time."

x2

Their cash, their inventory, their livelyhood on the line. Not about to start telling someone else how to run THEIR business.

Ideally for retailers, they shud be able to be reimbursed at invoice cost from vendor, that's about all they can hope for. Beats the hell out of losing more than the the inventory interest costs and freight on them, which I have no doubt they are eating one way or the other. Gov't has nearly no clue what this will cost them altogether. The retailers don't like it, but, they do have to try to salvage what they can out of it.

You are correct but then it'll set precedence for what WE would be given for ours

That could be a good thing. A bunch of retailers working with the csaaa will have a lot more power to demand fair compensation than you or me. Given the choice of the govt setting the price themselves and the govt setting the price in conjunction with retailers and the csaaa, I'm going with the latter.
