A few days back I loaded up all my empty .470 NE........well not all but 100 of them.......just in case the elephants migrate this way this year...........

Yesterday found me loading up 50 empty 38-56 cases with some nice Barnes Originals in 255 gn flat point.

Then I went on to sort and prep 250 x 300 Win Mag cases..........trimmed, chamfered, cleaned primer pockets all set to go except I don't have a 300 Win Mag at the moment. My kids buddy lost his hunting rifle in an overturned boat accident a couple years ago and came to me desperate for a hunting rifle for the next weekend so I sold him my 300 WM. I'll probably pick up another along the way but sizing, cleaning and prepping brass for a cartridge for which one does not even own a rifle..................like I said long winter............

We have literally 4 feet of snow on the level and I can't get anything near my shooting bench or target board, for the foreseeable future. I'm done building a snow blade for my tractor and done plowing my drive ways so now I'm in my loading room just rooting around looking for anything to do.............

Well I guess you could always take the dust off all the mounts in the games room, then clean all the guns in the gun rack, and then after lunch polish all the vintage cars ready for spring....! How's that for the itinerary of a to do list..?

At present I am busy cutting next years firewood in the bush. There's a lot of blow downs from last summers big wind storm. I do a bit each day, one or two Argo loads. Hopefully will get some ice fishing in this week depending on how much slush there is on the ice as it can high centre the Argo.

LOL, I agree - This December, January, and Feb;

Sized cleaned, primed and loaded 1260 17 Hornet, plus 360 22 K Hornet for a friend
Sized cleaned, primed, and loaded 100 45ACP
Sized cleaned, primed and loaded 210 22 Hornet brass I picked up at the Lloyd gun Show. I now have over 2200 22 Hornet loaded and ready for gopher season.
Sized, cleaned, and primed 50 7-08
Sized, cleaned 200 40 cal - I don't own a 40 cal
Sized, cleaned 60 338WM, I don't own a 338WM

Love this hobby.......

Looking at bullet swaging components, to make jacketed bullets for a caliber I don't own.

$$$$$$$$

Why? Because the process and tooling is are darned cool and I like making bullets.

Cast, lubed, powder coated, paper patched, but no jacketed yet.

It has been too long a winter here as well.

This has been the worst winter in history for me... although many would love to have had the weather we have this winter....no measurable snow since Christmas Day! Our winter was 3 week long in December. My winter coyote hunting has consisted of 3 hunts with the gang, and 6 coyotes taken total. Calling has produced nothing as temps have been well above normal all January and now all of February. The fields has been essentially mud pits and thunderstorms in January. As I text this it is + 8c and expected to be +13 this Saturday. Long range forecast does not show a Freezing temp from Feb 17-28th. Makes for a pretty boring winter no ice fishing zippo!! This winter has sucked big time in Southwestern Ontario!

Man the wait for the chrono results on the 22 baboon are killing me!

I think its time for me to bust out the reloading gear too, Im on reading break this week, and the range is closed on Tuesdays...
