Hey Shrek well i had a 1892 8 mil service revolver, they are very well made but a little gutless i think the 1873 French service revlover in 11mil is alot better, To me anyway.
The 8 mil dies are expensive and alot of guys use 32 20 cases cut down one thing about the 1892 is there reasonabley priced and you can get them sometimes if your lucky for like $500 can.
the 1873s in 11mil are alot more money but i like them and have one its been rechambered to 455 Heres a pic of mine but it aint for sale
These are very well made and once rechambered can shoot the .750 long case, 455 webley rd
They were made in 1873 and up till 1883 i belive, mine was made in 1876 and were used till WW II by the french they filed the chambers slightly and shot 45 ACP out them. There have very strong cylinders.
OH ya shrek watch out buying a 1892 as they were made till well into the 1900s if your looking for an antique one it will have the 1892 on the barel top but its the side date thats important to you it will have S 1896 or S 1894 like that on the right side of the barrel as you point the gun.
I have seen alot for sale where the sellers claimed they were Antique and they were NOT!!! So watch out for the barrel date
