Building a budget AR can be done, but for myself building isn't about conforming to a strict budget. Instead it's about building the rifle to the exact specs I set forth to get the exact rifle I want.

No such thing... A build doesn't stay cheap forever with an AR

Yup, you either build with relatively no budget in mind and put it together the way you want or you're continually spending money changing parts to make it what you wish you'd bought in the beginning.
