Gee you guys & gals out west are fortunate. A transfer last year took a couple weeks. My longest was a few years ago, took 3 or 4 months.

As for my "first", it was easy, under the "old" system.....

It was a few days (less than 4) and it was local. I was expecting a week or more. This was 7 years ago.

Private for from a store? My transfer last year was a private sale.

I never thought of that. The first two were private (a buddy of mine tranfered em to me and both took a few days) but all others (3) were from a store and were overnight. (all 3 recent)
Why would one take longer than the other?

And what kind of fertilizer are you using on your garden? Did you lose 2 tonnes of it?

Took less than 30 mins for mine along with STATT.I was worried with all the horror stories on here but it was a good experience dealing with the Alberta CFO.

took 30 min in store to transfer into my name and about a week to get my statt. got my long term a day after i took it home.

I pay for the gun at the shooting edge, at 10 am and at 3pm I was at home looking at it.4 and a half hours, in ontario so far 2 to 3 weeks

Seller of my Glock 17 called the cfc on a Friday early, I called the cfc around noon, cfo called me around 2pm and my transfer was approved by 2:15. I contacted seller he checked transfer status and shipped on Saturday the following Wednesday I was holding my Glock in my hands.
