Mine is going to be a Marlin 39A. Gonna be needing help later on gun accessories such as Scopes, strap(?) cleaning kits and such. Of course the Gun Cabinet as well.

Getting it from Wholesales Outfitters. Cheapest in Town. Second cheapest I've seen but I don't have to pay shipping :D so works out cheaper. Just went in today and talked to one of the knowledgeable staff working at Wholesales in my home town and talked to him about the Marlin 39A, asking when it came in along with some gun cabinets info. Got told 2-3 weeks for the gun as it will come in on the next shipment they get. So the gun I want will be in 3-4 weeks before my PAL comes in I hope. Can't wait and I'm gonna need to buy a few thousand rounds of .22 LR to practice.

Great choice for a first 22. Properly cared for, it'll last your lifetime and then some. My dad bought me a 39 for my first gun almost 20 years ago.

My next will be a LH CZ452 American with Leupold scope, yet to be determined. Another 22 built to last IMO.

Savage MkII FVT. Don't need no goodies. Comes with Williams peep sights. The two I seen at two different LeBaron are better quality this production run than the last few I seen.

Basically a cheap practice rifle for me. Anschutz way to much $$$. Plus 10% discount, too! :)

My next is a tough choice, because I'm torn between a rimfire rifle or handgun.

Rifle: Pump or lever-action, probably a Henry (for either) if new, hopefully something less expensive and used, though!

Handgun: Browning Buckmark, Ruger 22/45, or a revolver with the .22LR and .22WMR cylinders (also hopefully used). This would be my first owned rimfire pistol.

Mine is most likely going to be a 10/22 with Nordic AR22 kit, 6pos stock, pistol grip, quad rail, vertical grip and 8.5/11.5in barrel.

Don't know when I'll have the funds for it though. :(

Get a lever action they look nice....PUMP actions rifles just look wrong to me. I like the H001T and the GOLDEN BOY. I know nothing about pistols other then what I learned on my RPAL good luck with either choice.

Do you know much about Henry Repeater Rifles Cyclone?

My next .22?
Might be a cheap .22 semi like the marlin 795, used as a loaner.
or
A bolt action .22 Mag, scoped of course.
Was going to scope the Winnie 9422Mag, but it just works better with iron sights imo.
or
build a 10/22 out of spare/new/traded parts

Maybe a Remington 40X

X2!! If I ever find a decent specimen, I'll be all over it. FWIW, I just picked up a Winchester 69a in pretty nice shape from Gunnar. I just cleaned it up and adjusted the trigger. I will shoot it and report later. No target rifle, but I'll wager that it shoots very well, indeed. Regards, Eagleye.

C.K. good choice on the 39a. I have had one for 35 years or so. When I first got it I put a peep sight on it, Williams I believe, it was already drilled and tapped for it. Later I succumbed to scopitis, took off the peep, put a weaver rail and a 4x Weaver scope on it.

Now that I am older, it is wearing the peep sight again as it makes for a nice hunting and plinking package.

As for my next 22. Well that happened by accident yesterday. I went to pick up some ammo and I made the mistake of looking around at what they had.

Found a reasonably nice BSA Martini Model 15, it has a built in peep sight and a pistol grip stock and a very nice trigger, but showing signs of wear. Price was cheap so I went for it.

I plan on refinishing the stock and rebluing it using a rust blue. At that point it will should look really nice.

i'm hoping it'll be a taurus tracker revolver in .22lr. no idea where i'll get it as wholesale sports says they get them kinda randomly and i hear that taurus is now not making any rimfire handguns for awhile. as for accessories, do they make moon clips for .22lr?
