I think we all have had a nice custom build or beauty rifle purchase ( favorite ) that after a period of time , it's whoops, wrong cartridge
What's your special rifle and wish it was in a diff cal ? for all round where you hunt

So , please, no offensive or sarcastic replies ....

Anything i own that doesn't burn more then 100gr of powder (black or smokeless) is a rifle chambered in the wrong cartridge in my eyes

love the big boomers but Id want a 7mm STW for all the stuff that i wouldn't want to hit with 5000+ ft-lb energy

I have two. Right rifle wrong cartridge. Parker Hale M81 in 308NM. Too much cartridge for most of what I hunt. Remington Sendero in 7mm RM. Right cartridge but the rifle is the wrong platform for most of my hunting. Both led me to buy a Christensen Arms in 6.5. We will see if that makes me happy

This old girl is on barrel number 3. I call her goldilocks now. The current cartridge is just right.

Custom stocked ZG47, it use to be a 7x57 but was reamed out to .280 rem. Single loading it shoots great, but to get anything to fit in the mag box, it doesn’t shoot as good as it can.

I wish it was still a 7x57.

LOL It just may be.

That is one nice rifle, pathfinder...A Kimber? And in a McMillan stock?

I'm more interested in the log cabin/house , the rifle is very nice and i'm a wood stock kinda guy , but it looks very good ..yes I did peek Pathfinder ..show more of the cabin
and no Suppercubby was not intended for this thread . Am hoping for a no response from him
I had a browning white gold medallion in 325 . Wish forever it was a 7wsm. I know not that much to change it ....

270 Winchester
Cat
I shot my very first whitetail deer with a 270...
I am currently loving a 1895 win in 405, great rifle.
These were also chambered in 270, I do not believe they were too successful. A good example of "nice rifle, wrong cartridge"
