Your taught on Savage 30D 12 ga

[Pre-1898]

Hi folks, I just bought today a really nice old Savage Model 30D 12 ga shotgun with adjustable choke.

I am planning to hunt it mainly for small game, watherfowl, turkey and deer. I dont know much about this oldie except that it seem to have been really well maintained and seems solid like a vault.

I would like to hear what you have to say about that model .

Any of you guys using or have used this model for hunting ? I would like to hear from you !

I had one in the early '60s, a Savage model 30L ( left handed gun). It was a good hunting gun, functioned reliably & I found it easy to carry..

Same on the 31 L my uncle was a south paw and piled up a lot of deer, coyote and jackrabbits with that gun in the late '60's early '70's. His was a Savage built CIL. He never had a problem with that gun and he worked it HARD.
