You don't, you install the proper cylinder that comes with these convertibles.
I might shoot a box of 22 mag out of mine a month. I use mine to plink steel at 100Y.
The convertible I have is a S/A. He wants a D/A. It isn't easy to change a cylinder in D/A revolver as far as I know. Never heard of or seen one.
Edit: Did a google search I guess Taurus makes a D/A convertible. Come to revolvers if is isn't S&W or Ruger or Freedom Arms I'm not interested, just saying.
