Hello, can anyone provide me with some information about minors hunting in bc? I have a few questions that I keep getting different answers about. Please respond to this if you know for sure, like if you have contacted the CFO or anybody like that.

1. Can a minor hunt alone without a firearm if they have an adult hunting license?

2. Can a minor hunt alone with a firearm if they have their minors license and an adult hunting license?

2. If no to any of the questions above, is if possible to be interviewed to be elegible for them?

Any information would be great thanks!

I actually admire his desire to get out there alone, providing I'm reading the situation right.

But indeed, a minor (under 18 for the purposes of hunting) cannot hunt unaccompanied in BC, regardless if they hold an adult licence or not.

BC Regs said:
Youth (ages 10 to 18 inclusive) who participate in hunting in B.C. must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) who holds a valid hunting licence. Under the Wildlife Act, “accompanied” means:

Remain in the company of the other person
Able to see the other person without the aid of any device other than ordinary corrective lenses
Able to communicate by unamplified voice with that person

When I was a kid we would just go hunting no FAC it wasn't legal but that's how we rolled back then
Kid get rip off today you can't just give a kid a 22 anymore like what my uncle did with me

Actually I heard a case where an exception was made for a young guy (minor) in northern Ontario. Hunting was their main source of food and the dad was recently disabled.
