Yugo M24/47 Firing Pin broke, are parts interchangeable with other mausers?

The firing pin on my Yugo M24/47 broke. Do I need a M24/47 firing pin or will a firing pin from any 8mm Mauser work? Where can I purchase one also?

All mausers do not have the same pin, they are close but not all interchange. I have a faux (sorta) sniper K98 (WW1 era), picked up another factory sportered one from around post WW1 era. Thought I would change the spoon handle onto the Sniper...nope. Diameter was different, conceivably it might trade one way though. ..

The M24/47 is a intermediate length mauser action. I would assume that most (maybe all) intermediate length Mauser firing pins would interchange. That being said the best option is buying the exact part as that should work with no issues. Another thing to consider is the M24/47 and M48 Yugoslavian Mausers are also the most common intermediate length Mauser actions on the market so likely the easiest intermediate length firing pin to find would be either a M24/47 or M48.

If the firing pin from a K98 fits, you may want to check with Trade Ex Canada or Marstar... I do not have a M24/47 but I seem to recall that its action is slightly shorter (than a K98), in which case a pin from a Yugo M48 might work...

Edit: Eaglelord confirmed what I suspected, the action is shorter...

Numrich in the ‘States would have what you need. Pretty pricey to ship though, IIRC
Whens the last time you ordered? They dropped the $35 International fee a year ago or more.Liberty tree gun parts ships here and may have a firing pin 4U

Ah, OK, I did not know this. It has been quite awhile (few years) since I ordered from them. Amazing site, they have pretty well anything you may need for firearms parts.
