Do Yugo mauser M48 have bent bolt handles like the Kar 98k?

They are bent, but not quite in the way the Kar.98k is. The bolt handle on the M48s has a wider arc than a Kar.98k.

Thanks for the info guys. If you would like to use a a Kar 98k (rc or Norwegian 30.06) or a m48 for deer hunting which would you go for?

The Yugos I've seen are pretty mint, I'd go with the Yugo because they're likely to be more accurate, although hunting with a rifle that fired it's last serious shots on the Russian Front would be pretty cool too. You do know the sights suck though, right?

The sights work great for hunting. They only suck on paper targets, because the pointed front sight doesn't index well on a round dot.

id get a 98k ive got both.if i could only have one it would be the 98k.while m48 s are nice the stocks feel cheap and too thick in the wrist to me.also 3006 might be a little bit easier to get just my 2cents

I agree, the stock on the M48 is much too thick. The K98K feels much better.
