Yugo M76 Sniper legal in Canada?

A Yugoslavian friend of mine is interested in importing a Zastava M76 sniper rifle from Macedonia. He used the same in the military in the early '90's.

He says the export is no problem, but I'm thinking the importation might be since it's a design based on the Kalashnikov AK action.

I never thought to do a name search. I found the list.

Not just plausible - it did happen. It isn't an urban legend.
