Yugo mauser scope mount

Very ###y Gordon! She is an identical twin to mine almost! I would laugh if the serial numbers are only 1 apart! If you want, PM and just for fun we'll check that out. Perhaps they are twins, born of the same Mauser womb!

Have you tried shooting with that crazy sun shade on? I took mine off, for fear of losing an eye. I wasnt brave enough to put that cup to my eye and pull the trigger, I had images of wearing an eye patch for the rest of my days, walking around with a parrot, frequently saying yaaar, yaaar me matey..........yaaar......

What did your smith do to make the rear base fit? Mine shaved underneath to make it slide up on the saddle.........everyone else wanted to hack it shorter and re-drill it.

And if you need the bolt handle bent........maybe consider sending it to bits of pieces over the winter when you cant shoot much either.

Yes i shoot it with the rubber eye piece on woorks good ,my gun smith ground the base to fit around the charger bridge did a good job on it.I will pm you with the serial# would be interesting to see as suposedly only 3000 m48bo rifles were made and never made it to the intended market.

Sorry for bumping this month old thread, but where did you guys manage to get a hold of the Zrak Mounts and 6x Scope? I've looked at ZrakUS but I am unsure if I can import the scope into Canada...

I have an interesting Yugo M48 (I think BO, as it has no markings other than the serial #) that was imported into this country pre-drilled and tapped for the original Zrak mounts. So seeing as how it's already pre-drilled for me, I figure I might as well finish the job that some Yugoslavian guy started :)

ZrakUSA's supply is spotty 'cause they're not a big company like Bushnell - IIRC this came up before, they build somewhere between 500-1000 units/year and have an enthusiastic following around the former Yugo. ZrakUSA gets small batches that are usually snapped up w/in a week of being posted on their e-barff site.

You know the routine, remove the spaces between the t's and follow the link

Well, after looking online at the few Zrak dealers in the US, it looks like I'll be waiting until the shipments get in. All sold out of the mounts/rings :(

Oh well, gives me some time to work up some favourite loads for the rifle.
