I will be receiving my M48 yugo mauser soon. My plan is to create a clone of the Bosnian War M48 sniper clone with the ZRAK ON-M76B scope mounted to it.
I have seen lots of pictures of the scope and its "swing bridge" mounting system. But nothing shows how the scope base is actually mounted to the receiver. Do I drill and tap the receiver top to mount the scope base? Anyone knows what the hole pattern might look like? I want to avoid drilling into the yugo crest on the receiver.
Another question, the ON-M76B's turret is calibrated for 8mm mauser, shot from M76 rifle. Anyone knows what the BDC spacing is? I woud like to work up a load closely duplicates the yugo M75 ammo to utilize the BDC setting on the scope.
