Long story short we have a few firearms that I would love to bring over. The main one is marked CZ M-70. Which I found to be this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zastava_M70_(pistol)

The barrel is 94mm. Does any one know if I can get a 105mm threaded barrel made to bring this into Canada? And what the process would be? Maybe going through an importer here is better? The people at the CFO weren't overly helpful with my inquiry. I was going to call in again but was wondering if anyone has any experience with such cases.

The pistol carries a lot of sentimental value.

Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, it would go like this:

Find an importer who can import prohibited firearms (maybe e-mail marstar, irunguns, prophetriver, etc).
They then need to get it re-barreled and apply for re-classification to restricted.
They then transfer the restricted firearm to you.

If it's chambered in .32, that caliber itself is prohibited so it would also need to be re-chambered.

Would be quite expensive.

I have already been in contact with the police there. They would allow it after some paperwork and assurances.

I didn't realize what it was chambered in .32 (7.65mm) is actually prohibited on its own. Right now its looking like if there's any chance of this even going down I would have to get an importer on board and as bp2626 stated it would probably be expensive and a hassle.

I think I get the gist of it now, probably wont be bringing it in (I feel safer already, scary scary gun).

Thanks a lot guys.
