What kind of accuracy are you guys getting with these things?

Also are they chrome lined?

Im interested in the 7.62x39 m85, could I put a crate of corrosive ammo through it in a weekend without any problems?

I don't have a M85 but I have several of the M70's and have managed to get all of them to shoot less than 1.5" groups at 100yds. My Charles Daly by Zastava originally in .243 but rechambered to .243-06AI, consistently shoots just under an inch after bedding.

The M85 is not chrome lined however I've shot plenty of milsurp corrosive ammo out of mine with no problems. If I was to do a couple days in a row of shooting I might just dump some hot water down the barrel at the end of each day just to be sure you washed at least some of the salts out. My guess is it would likely be fine for a couple days but I've never tested that.

With Milsup ammo I get a lot of 1.5" groups at 100M. I'm going to work up a hand load for it and see if I can get them lower.

1.5" groups with either surplus or the Dominion ammo (which shoots the same as surplus, in my experience). Slightly better with good brass cased ammo. Mine is one of the Manlicher stock M85's, not the ones from CanAm. The Manlicher M85's have an 18" bbl, as opposed to the 20" bbl for the standards (CanAm). There's some other minor differences too, which make me think that the Manlichers are, in general, more of a "Lux" option with better fit and finish overall.

I only have this one pic from shooting groups. Other than the obvious flyer (shooter error), the target on the left is fairly typical of what I get from my M85.

As for chrome lined, corrosive ammo, blasting through a crate in a weekend...

Not chrome lined. So what. Clean your rifle (which you should be doing anyway). It's a bolt gun so cleaning is easy.

Blasting through a crate in a weekend... Not the worlds smoothest bolt, TBH, you'll get kind of tired. But other than that, it should be no problem.

Cheers.
