Zastava M85 sporting rifle extractor part

Hi folks,

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement extractor for Zastava M85 sporting rifle? Its such a nice little rifle it really bums me out that the extractor broke on the first day. I looked everywhere on the web and no dice :(

I really don't want to resort to getting one machined :/

they said they got some coming in may-ish. I'm still gonna try to look for one as May is a long time haha.

Hmm, curious how much difference there is from one Mauser extractor to another. I have a couple different actions including a zastava and will compare.
 
FWIW, I compared the extractors from my zastava 458 WM to my sporterized K98. They appear identical. Not sure if that helps. A quick google search revealed a number of them for sale at various locations. Looking at about $50 shipped though.

The extractor broke on my 7.62x39 Remington 799 which is an M85 barreled action in a Remington laminate stock. Turns out the extractor from a Sako Vixen rifle is an exact fit with a bit of filing. I also picked up a spare but after more than a few years the replacement extractor continues to work just fine.

Might try Western Gun Parts.

You could also try Marstar, they used to carry the Zastava line including the model 85 back in the late 90's. Its a long shot but they might have some spare parts still lying around. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
 
Try this out. I think it is the repair depot for Canada. It's in Toronto. The repair tech only comes in when there is enough to be worth his while is what i was told a couple of years ago when i need something.
