I have done a search and didn't find any negative comments really. Anybody bought one lately and fired it? The Tradex offering in left hand looks very nice just have to decide on caliber. The 6.5x55 looks like a winner, but I am interested in comments before spending. thanks.

That was a typo on my part. As I said I did a search read what was available, nothing really negative. Just looking for comments of any owners before diving in.

Bought one in 30-06 with the idea of building a 338-06. I shot it and played with it for a while in it's original calibre. It functioned well and was decently accurate.Found a shotgun that I had to have so it was traded off. Would I buy another one? Yes. Bac4

Why not call and chat with the two lads at Tradex.
I am almost certain they will give you the honest goods
whether they make or forefit a sale.

I started a thread about the 6.5x55 left handed tikka vs zastava. That only reason I did not buy this gun is the twist rate on the 6.5 is only 1 in 9. I prefer to shoot 140 grain bullets and up and the 1 in 8 tikka was a better option. Found the left handed tikka at a sports store and wholesale sports has the ss. If you complete a search you find both threads I started about this gun and the twist rate. Twist rate was important to me because I plan to shoot 140 grain and up.

I have read up now on the 6.5 and the 1-9 twist and I agree the 1-8 would be a better plan for the heavier bullets and the longer 140 grain boattails. Oh well so much for that caliber. Leaves me with 270 or 30-06 in left hand that interests me. Sort of vanilla icecream and rounds I have already played with. I'm not into the magnums or larger bores. I'll have to wait until back from vacation to order.

Nothing wrong with the Tikka. I picked up a blue version and wholesale has the ss in left handed. Once you shoot a swede really tough to go back to the 270 or 30 06.

It is more a question of the action type that interests me (Mauser 98). CRF classic action left handed. The Tika is nice but the Mauser style appeals to me more.

I have a Remington 798, all Zastavas , in 30.06, the action is solid a little rough until fired a bit, feeds perfectly everytime.

It is quite accurate, adjustable trigger, side safety for low scope mounting.

I bedded mine, worked up a load with 180 gr nosler partitions and ready to hunt most anything.

Would buy one again
