About 8 months ago I purchased a Zastava Model 5 in 22 long rifle. It is a real tack driver. The other day the trigger broke on it. I have sent numerous emails trying to find who the Canadain Importer is for this rifle, no luck to date. Does anyone know who this might be???

It is supposed to come with a one year warranty, but that is not much good if you can't get someone to provide basic info. I have emailed the US Importer and directly to the company in Serbia. So far no luck.

Numric Arms in the US does carry parts, but are out of stock. I will try Western Gunparts as well. Kinda frustrating for sure. Anyone have any ideas?

Thans for looking.

I don't know who the importer is but Gagnon Sports in Oshawa, ON is a dealer and may be able to supply parts. Google them and see if they can help.

Good luck.

I just bought one yesterday at the canadian tire in Belleville. Their staff are pretty knowledgeable and I would bet a call to them might help.

Believe it or not I was emailing directly with Zastava in Serbia. After a few emails back and forth I was provided with a Canadian Importer email (izhcanada@yahoo.ca). They will be notified of my problem and part sent to them on next shipment. So eventually I will be able to fix my problem. Not too bad considering a few days ago I thought I would be SOL.

Thanks for the input.

The importer is in Toronto Ontario. Their number is 416-736-9917 They have a gun smith come in once every 2 weeks to do repairs. Call them and make arrangements.

Scott..

Thanks Scott. I just called them and they have rec'd my information (emails). Now it is a matter for the part to be shipped to them or if I get really lucky and another gun comes in for repair that is beyond fixing they will remove the trigger and send it to me.

It may be a while, but at least it sounds like I will be taken care of. Thanks again folks. Looks like Zastava will stand behind their product.

Here is a pic.

Has to be a bad or flawed casting. You would have to put it in a vise and hammer the crap out of it to break there. LOL
Make sure you get a replacement screw/bolt to go through the trigger. They drift punched the one in my Zastava. I broke it not realizing it was punched when I went to disassemble. Drilled it out and put a larger bolt in to fix it.
