Sometimes when I operate the bolt on my 243 it slides right past the bullet. I know it's because I am putting some torque up or down on the bolt handle. Is there any part of the magazine I can smooth out or do I just need to be more deliberate? Thanks

My zastava did something similar. Make sure the internal mag springs have enough tension to raise the rounds high enough to get picked up.

Make sure that you are loading the cartridges carefully. They can get jammed/wedged together in the mag box if you try to cram them down in a hurry. They need go in staggered and move a bit when you push down on the top cartridge. What Tcost said about the mag spring is also true. Might need a replacement one if it doesn't have enough tension.

Mine works fine, but try polishing some of the sharp edges on the follower; and not a lot, just break the sharpness. Had a remington model 78 that would only feed the first two cartridges; changed about everything, including installing BDL bottom metal, sold it and never did figure out what the issue was with it.
