Zastava sniper rifle

FVCK I wish we could get the M91.

Ask a dealer if they can import it for you. Maybe Epps or someone.

If you get an anwser from somebody about the avail/price/ETA please post back here.

in Canada it will be around $3500 with scope and bipod as pictured. Worth it?

I spoke with Clay at Prophet River the other day about importing some Zastava rifles. He said he is willing, but I want to do some research first to find out if they are a good rifle.

I'm interested in the left hand LK M70 in .30-06 and 9.3x62mm: http://www.zastava-arms.rs/cms/index.php?id=234

And the left hand LK M85 in 7.62x39mm: http://www.zastava-arms.rs/cms/index.php?id=241

I have read good things about them on the American forums, but I've also heard some of them can be finished somewhat rough. I also read that they need a minimum number of firearms to complete and order, so the more people on board, the better.

They certainly have a vast assortment of calibers available that go hand in glove with anyone who collects milsurps, like the; .223 Rem, 7.62x39mm, 6.5x55mm, 7x57mm, 8x57mm JS, .30-06 and the .308 Win to name a few.

I would really like to see them make left and right hand versions with a stripper clip slot on the receiver bridge, and Weaver rails machined fore and aft on the top of the receiver. That, and a replacement of their FUGLY stocks with a return to the hardwood laminated ones that Remington installed on their Models 798 and 799, that Zastava produced for them. the barrels look like they could be little beefier too, I hate noodle barrels.

I really want to find out more about them before I proceed much further, but I will be starting a thread to explain what is available and a rough cost estimate if it is feasible.

what is an average price for TRG with bipod? I assume the optics would be minimum $500 extra, unless somebody would put made in china $40 scope on TRG

so what? TRG is still a winner, even HS Precision will do better than Zastava...

cruse the net and find pictures of the Zastava (I think first post link has all you need to make your opinion), and take a closer look at finishing and detailes....looks cheap.....toolmarks, unfitted recoil pad, any idea what scope is on this rifle (does it come with a scope?).....TRG is the way to go.....

:D:D how much is TRG sells for that was my question :D because I have no clue what is the price for TRG...

but your arguments for a winner are not convincing at all...it's like saying that my Ford is a winner because it looks nicer...than the other car which I never owned, drove, not even saw except for a cr@py picture of it....

just to let you know: Sako TRG - $3,000 in .308 and $4,000 in .300

so - what would be better TRG or Zastrava at the same price?

so, Zastava is a Ford you say? right ;)

Zastava comes with scope and bipod for that money

I replied to Zastava that their price is not competitive...looks like they took it personally :(
