Zavasta s/s

I just got 2 Zastavas 1 wood 1 SS both in 9.3x62 - .366 Wagner The SS one is a little rough but will smooth up with use I am sure. The stock is hollow plastic like the Tikka, sounds hollow. I filled it with spray foam and it sounds/feels better sorta.I have not shot it yet hope to this week end.All in all it is a solid rifle that IMHO will last a long long time. I sent the wood one to Boomer for evaluation. We'll see what he says.

Thanks Pounder. Let us know which you end up preferring.

I will be keeping them both,I also bought a Tikka T3 in the same cal. these are for our bear monitors. Although the Tikka will most likely be for hunting more than bear work.I have other bear rifles to take it's place,45-70 my carry gun,and a .416 Ruger. I will keep you posted on our progress in breaking them in for work.

was looking at a Zastava .22, ended up not getting it.

didn't seem bad for the price, just seemed like a CZ copy with way lower quality control regarding the finish.

couldn't risk the gamble, coughed up the extra and got the CZ.

The CZ, obviously, is far superior quality. Having said that, the Zastava rimfire rifle is a great product given its price point......nice trigger, good iron sights and accurate. The steel mag supplied with the rifle is far better quality compared to the plastic provided with CZ.
