Zeiss Conquest Riflescope question??

I'm considering one of the following Zeiss Conquest scope for hunting and target practice.

-Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 MC
-Zeiss Conquest 4.5–14x50 MC
-Zeiss Conquest 6.5–20x50 MC

I intend to use it for coyote and deer. What would be a good compromise as of magnification if I hunt yotes in open areas such as fields and in a more wooded area and at closer ranges for deer?

What's the main difference between the hunting and target turrets?

Does anyone have any experience ordering from Camera Land?(CGN site sponsor).
Do they take care of all the paperwork required by the US Dept of commerce for the export permit etc?

Well that seems rather confusing. How can you be a sponsor but not sell your product to anyone (in Canada)? I know of guys who did order scopes from them in the past. When did this change?


BTW, if you do get a Zeiss Conquest, they are a good quality scope. For your needs I would find the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 MC to be your best choice. I have a 6.5 -20 x50 which I use for 300-500 m target shooting. I think it would be over kill for deer and coyotes. Just my $.02.
 
Not sure when it changed, but they do sell more than rifle scopes,,like spotters,binoculars,rangefinders, cameras..that are shippable to Canada.

Cameraland does ship binoculars and spotting scopes to Canada,I bought a set of Geovid HDs from them last fall.

As for magnification,if closer ranges and tighter cover may be encountered,I would actually go with a 3.5-10x44.If you never hunt tighter cover,I would go with the 4.5-14x44.
 
Thanks for all the advices folks,

The email I got from Camera Land stated that they will ship items such as cameras, binos, objectives etc... but they won't ship anything that requires an export permit from the US Dept of commerce.

This being said, which Canadian dealer got the best prices and inventory for Zeiss scopes?

I'm also looking for a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x,44 with a Rapid Z600 reticle. So far the best price I could find, short of importing from US, is $899.95 at Wholesale sports.
