I am seriously thinking of buying a Zeiss Conquest 4.5X14 TT for my SS Tikka T3 6.5X55 in the new year.
The purpose would be to have a longer range deer/antelope rifle plus target shoot out to longer ranges say out to 1000M.
Does the Conquest with it's 1 inch tube have enough come up adjustment to zero out to 1000m or would I have to go to a 30mm tube which would have more.
I know one can shim up the rear mount base to get more adjustment but I was hoping to avoid that.
Thanks for your replies.

I have one an love it, but shooting at 1000 M. I would put
on a 20 moa base.
I would run a ballistics and then see how many moa you
actually need at 1000M to do that with that cartridge.

The Zeiss 4.5-14x50 has approx 65 MOA of travel up and down. So half it gives you 32.5 MOA of upwards clicks from zero. This will get you to 900 yards according to a ballistics calculator with a 140 grain A-Max at 2600 fps. I would recommend a 20 MOA base, then you have no worries.

IMHO..14 power is not strong enough for 1000 yards spend a few extra and get the 6.5x20..you will need a 20 moa or greater..I have a 25 moa on mine..
I have Zeiss Conquest.. I want to sell to get a NF..used on a 22lr only..Z varmint ret..6.5-20x50..also have shade..it is sitting on my Tikka Varmint 6.5 Swede right now.
