Zeiss illumination repair

Has anyone tried to send a Zeiss for repair for failed illumination? My 500 Jeffery trashed the center red dot on my Victory which only flickers now. Unfortunately it's off warranty. I'm wondering how to proceed and what it might cost.

Thats rather disappointing on such a high end optic!! Not trying to be a #### but any chance it slid in the mount and contacted the turret housing. I do realize its a stout rifle in the recoil department pending weight and muzzle break. Hope it all turns out good but you should be covered on something of that price unless it was negligence.

No, the scope has the Blaser/Zeiss rail underneath (better than rings) and didn't budge. The rifle is punishing (no brake) and I'm not surprised the scope didn't hold up. In fact, I expected something in the scope to fail at some point.
