I have a 6 power Zeiss Jena scope with two adjustment dials. Both are on top. The front one adjusts the horizontal bar up and down and the rear one adjusts the focus. Big problem. How does one adjust the vertical bar left to right? Beautiful optics but frustrating as hell at the moment. Apparently at the end of WW2, Zeiss Jena was situated in East Germany and Zeiss as we know it was situated in W. Germany and they became two seprate entities so when I contacted Zeiss they had no information on the Zeiss Jena. Has anyone out there ever run into one of these and if so do you know if there is a way to make the left/right adjustment. If not I guess about the only options is to use some kind of shims. Thanks for any help in the matter.

It was likely meant to be used with a mount that had windage built into it. That was a fairly common thing with german scopes and mounts. My K98 sniper is setup that way.

look at the bottom rear part of scope tube. if there is a threaded hole about 1/4 inch diam. the scope was probably made for the ZKK BRNO rifles ....if so it used a one piece base that had a single screw with a large head to secure the rear of the scope to the base and 4 screws (2 per side) opposing each other to provide windage at the front. good scopes but useless without the proper base.
