We might start selling Zeiss scopes. Tell me what you think about them? I'm calling upon the CGN collective for information :) I think we've all heard of Zeiss scopes and how amazing they are but I've only used one a few times.

One of the best scopes out there, clearer then Leupold, but not as good a selection, not quite up to S&B or Swaro.IMHO

my scope of choice for everything short of the really expensive ones (which I can't afford). Better than Leupold or Nikon and far better than Bushnell to my eyes.

I have conquests on all the rifles I use hunting.

The Rapid Z is also by far the best BDC reticle out there IMO. Using the calculator on the web site you can dial it accurately to your specific calibre and bullet; can't do that with any other.

my $0.02

I own all three, and in my opinion the Zeiss Victory and Diavari lines are close to the S&B (actually the Diavari has a warmer colour palette compared to a S&B). The S&B is slightly more clear, but a little more sterile picture. The Swaro is part way in between - no target style turrets or decent magnification though. If I hunted, Swaro would be one of my top choices, however the Swaro line is limited beyond hunting.

If target shooting, the new S&B 12.5-50x with 0.25cm per click turrets is pretty amazing.

I own a 6.5 - 20x Rapid Z Conquest and would say that the picture is reminiscent of S&B, yet not as sharp or quite as clear. Very good scope for the money.

I’ve had three Zeiss scope till now and still have the 3.5-10x,40 mm w/Z600 at this time. Haven’t used it yet but looking forward to it this season. I found the 3-9 x 50 mm amazing for hunting. Just wish I hadn’t sold it...

I'd highly recommend you to carry them. I have a 3-9x 40mm on my Winchester 70 and just adore the scope. It was a good deal and is sharp and bright. Just love the eye relief on the thing. I have a Leupold VX3 6.5-20 and Bushnell Elite 6.5-24 and the quality of the Zeiss is higher than those two IMHO.

Great scopes.I find they gather light so much better than comparable priced optics from other makes.
The 3.5x10x44 gives you an extra 20 minutes to see clearly.

Swarovski Z3 3x10x42 vs Zeiss 3x9x40.......

I own both these scopes on different rifles.Last weekend at the Range @100meters to my eyes the zeiss was more colorful and clear with both scopes looking at the target set on 9x.....my dad looked through both scopes, and they looked equal in clarity to him(he couldnt see the difference) however he agreed that an extra $400 for the Z3 is a Big difference.....
