Zeiss Reticle choice for paper-punching

About to order a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20, but I'm trying to decide what reticle to get.

It's for target shooting only, and trying to get out to some longer distances.

Here are my choices:

Reticle 4:

My concern is that the reticles in #4 and 20 are very thick and can block out missed bullet holes and wind flags. I like how thin the lines on the #43 are, but I don't need mildots as I'm shooting at known distances, but I guess they can be useful for holding over the wind.
It's going on a 223.


What's everyone's opinion?
 
#43, not a crowded mil-dot at all, very small, and is nice for windage correction as you say.

Have had 2 and like them for target as well as hunting , the cross hair is nice and fine.
 
I had the 6.5-20 in the #20 reticle. I thought it would be to thick also but it was quite nice. The #43 is more fine than the #20 like Kelly Timoffee said and is good for target work but I find it a little to thin for low light hunting. I like the #20 over the #4. My next scope will be a #20 4-14x50
 
#43, at longer KNOWN ranges you don't need to holdover but you will need to correct for windage, dots are great for that.
 
I have a mildot (#43) on a 6.5-20 Conquest. It's a very fine scope for target and hunting (varmint). It's even better once a person figures out how to use the mildot's properly.
