Hey guys, I was in wholesale sports in stoon today and saw zeiss terra 3-9x42 for $299, yes 250 off
Now that sounds like a good deal, but what surprised me is that it doesn't come with a box or any paperwork.. Just wrapped in bubble wrap. Has anyone else seen this?
Guy behind the counter said they just get them in " bulk" and they don't come with a box...
Is that legit zeiss?

Sounds like a demo or display model. Not unusual.

Actually had to bring it from the back and I actually asked him about the box, and reply was there is none..
There was no box with the one in the display, which yes I agree it's not unusual.
And how would one go about registering that without order number on the box?

Instead of a box, it comes in this clear hard plastic square tube with 2 white end caps lol. So you didnt miss much. There is still a serial number on the scope. On amazon.ca it is as low as $400. It is made in Japan.

I am guessing a shipment got set where there was some water, or water showed up, all paper and cardboard turned to mush.

Scopes unaffected , discount and sell, seems reasonable to me.

Ya... the plastic box they come in leaves something to be desired. Bubble wrap is probably safer than the plastic they usually come in.

Well, my Terra shook itself loose in 6 months on my K31 and took Zeiss a few months to replace it through warranty (they didn't even try to fix it). The glass isn't anywhere close to being as clear as my Nikons, which were similar priced to the regular Terra pricing. Top end Zeiss = very nice. Low end Terra Zeiss = not good.

Looky - they come in a square clear tube, not round.

I have a Terra on my .375 H&H. So far so good. Although a Swarovski would look pretty as well......
