Hi. A "what's it worth?" post. Not an auction, so please don't PM with an offer. This is a discontinued model (therefore I don't know about present value) that I have moved off one rifle and am deliberating whether to put it on the EE or hold onto it until I have another rifle to mount it on. I bought it new. The glass is fantastic so I'm leaning toward keeping it. On the other hand, I'm downsizing....
Anyway, Conquest MC 3-9x40, Z-plex reticle, not a mark on it that I can see, transferable warranty. What should I ask?

I would ask for 200 and be open to trade offers. As you said its an older scope and the 5 year limited warranty is up with the exception to the their “lifetime warranty against manufacturers defects”. I wpuld hold onto it personally
 
Keep it, it's a good optic. When they were made, they cost new about $500-600: you can see what inflation and supply issues would have done to that price if it was still being made.

As to buying one used: not sure what the market supports for these now. Because I like mine so much, I'd laugh at any offer below $500: there is nothing I could buy with so little to get this much scope: made in USA, German components the very popular 3-9x40mm with ~600y holdovers which are pretty close for a 30-06/180gr. The glass in this scope is easily as good as anything for that cost now, probably better. Warranty or not, it's survived this long and still works you shouldn't need a warranty anymore.
